Project Update – Tutorial Projects 3

Hello, I’m currently about two thirds of the way through the VX Ace tutorials. This one takes a more theoretical approach then the VX series & it takes the time to explain some things about the VX Ace program. It even talks about how to plan an RPG.

It has a lot less hand holding in this one. It’ll walk you through doing something once then expect you to be able to repeat the process for similar things, e.g. defining class stats, etc. At first I thought they left out a lot of the vital statistics for various objects, but I realised that much of it can be found in a separate spreadsheet found on the same page as the tutorials (still missing a few things though, like item cost & graphics).

To prove I’m making progress, here’s some screenshots:

Next: Complete RPG Maker VX Ace tutorial series then begin the Unity Stealth tutorials.
